I spent my teenage years in Singapore, and went to a small animal vet for a work placement. It was that experience which confirmed my interst in looking after small animals. I went to the Royal (Dick) Veterinary College of Edinburgh University and graduated from there in 1982. I was fortunate to get a job here immediately - in Craig Y Don with Margaret Birks who opened her veterinary practice on Mostyn Avenue in 1966.
I became a Partner in 1985 and we opened the Llandudno Junction Branch in 1986. I have been running the Practice since then, and caring for companion animals and their owners continues to provide great enjoyment and satisfaction more than 30 years later.
My spare time is spent with my family and our cavaliers, and I enjoy swimming. I also work for the residents and businesses of Penrhyn Ward as their elected Independent County Councillor.
